In the news: our Help for Survivors of Suicide group

Our Survivors of Attempted Suicide Group is in the news:

"The program is one of the first of its kind in Canada.“ In our initial research… I don’t think we found any groups like this in Canada. We had to look to the States for some examples,” said Nicole Imgrund, founding director of Rivers Edge as well as one of its counsellors."

"The Survivors of Attempted Suicide group is an eight-week program with facilitators Petal Murti and Grant Wardlow. The program is a partnership between River’s Edge Counselling Centre, the City of St. Albert and the St. Albert Community Foundation." http://morinvillenews.com/2018/04/03/survivors-of-attempted-suicide-group-offering-much-needed-support/

”The free support group will meet once a week for two months straight, for an hour-and-a-half each time. Murti says each intake will be limited to a maximum of eight participants. Jones believes having this type of group therapy would have been beneficial when he was struggling. ”
