Human’s are wonderfully fascinating and resilient beings. Connecting with clients in heartfelt moments is the highlight of my work. These moments of authentic meeting are nourishing and can provide a sense of comfort that inspires healing. Healing is a mysterious concept in mental health and my perspective on wellness focuses on the many small choices and sometimes big decisions that shape a life.

If you are experiencing struggle in your life, such as difficulty in relationships, or coping with stress, I believe our supportive connection along with learning new skills for managing life’s challenges can empower you to resolve dilemmas, let go of old fears, and make changes, allowing you to create your best life. It is my honour to support your therapeutic process using a holistic somatic approach to therapy.

I enjoy refining my skills and deepening my understanding of how humans heal though ongoing professional trainings and reading current research and writing in the field. I have significant experience supporting persons at various stages of recovery from addiction and those who have experienced traumas in their lives. Whatever the reason for reaching out I am interested listening and collaborating with you on the next steps of your journey.

Adolescents
I enjoy working with teens, and have experience working with teens addressing concerns about addictions... read more

...When helping adolescents understand their feelings and needs so they can make better choices, I draw on creative movement (if the teen is interested in this modality), as well as meaningful conversations. I have deep respect for the wisdom adolescents bring to their own experience. My therapeutic approach to supporting adolescences is based in developmental theories and an attachment perspective.

Addictions
Addictions touch many lives. Whether it is you or a loved one who engages in problematic behaviours such as gambling or alcohol and substance use, you are not alone and there is help available... read more

...I often support a harm reduction model when working with people who struggle with addictions but also enjoy and fully support the 12 step abstinence program for people who find that route and community more aligned with their recovery. Addressing ambivalence to change is an essential part of the process and I encourage clients to be leaders in their own treatment planing.

Trauma
Overwhelming and confusing events occur in our lives and can have a lasting impact on how we see ourselves or cope with stress... read more

...Traumatic experiences can also lead to personal growth when you are supported to integrate and recover a secure sense of self. I use both EMDR and somatic interventions to treat symptoms and empower healing in individuals who have experienced trauma. I am experienced in working with healing from sexual traumas.
